Specialty Services | Your life is a journey. Do not allow your past to predict your future. I understand you may be tired, scared, and ashamed; but you have the ability to pick yourself up and seize this moment…right here…right now. You are not alone; I will walk beside you on this new path to recovery and healing. My therapeutic approach is one that is person centered, strength based, and solution focused. My goal as your therapist is to have you leave treatment knowing that you are a survivor, not a victim and that you are in this game of life to win. I have specialized training in working with individuals with Trauma, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) backgrounds. Being licensed as a school counselor, substance abuse counselor and professional counselor I have had the opportunity to work with children and adults alike in various settings such as in public and private schools, and most recently at Rogers Memorial Hospital in their residential and partial hospitalization programs. When treating patients I prefer to take a balanced and structured approach of active listening/motivational interviewing, solution focused treatment, and interventions that focus on how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected through utilizing approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and Schema Therapy. I understand that each and every patient is unique in what they find helpful and meaningful to their treatment, so I believe in being flexible and adapting my therapeutic approach to each patients individual needs. sees clients 18 years + |
