Specialty Services
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience treating a variety of mental health concerns in a number of settings. I have experience working with adults and children in inpatient, outpatient, residential, correctional, and forensic settings. I enjoy working with both individuals and groups and I also have expertise in psychological assessments.
I am well trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and have been using this approach for treating individuals with borderline personality disorder and high-risk behaviors for over thirteen years. I have found working with this approach and this population incredibly rewarding. I am a DBT consultant and trainer for a number of state agencies. I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and am passionate about helping individuals regain fulfilling lives after experiencing significant trauma. Furthermore, I have training and experience with therapeutic assessment and use this approach to help individuals understand themselves, their strengths, and their challenges more completely.

Specialty Services
I am a licensed therapist that draws upon the unique strengths of each individual as we work together to identify realistic solutions to challenges. This approach is effective with children/adolescents age 13 and older; and adults and elders either individually, or as couples or families. I believe that the client is the expert on their life situation. I count it a privilege to assist people with issues that interfere with living to their full capacity and wholeness.
I utilize evidence based modalities in my therapeutic approach- often Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed, or a variant of this, such as Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT) skills, or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)-“tapping”. EFT is particularly useful in the treatment of trauma, chronic pain, habit disorders and depression or anxiety.
