Specialty Services

Jen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience providing and supervising psychotherapy. Jen takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach and believes people have the inner resources to find the power to heal and grow; she feels grateful for every person who she has walked with as a part of their change process. Jen practices several different models of therapy which include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Couples work. Jen is also a Certified Tension and Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) instructor and in all her work keeps in mind the power of the mind body connection. Jen believes that the strength of the therapeutic relationship correlates with goal achievement in therapy and therefore seeks feedback from and collaboration with the individuals, families and couples she works with. While Jen considers herself a generalist practitioner she particularly specializes in working with people with trauma and borderline personality disorder. Jen also enjoys working with and creating a safe therapeutic environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
