Anger Management Coping Skills Group Therapy

Anger Management Classes and Techniques

Our anger management classes and online group may be helpful for you if you experience intense, prolonged, or quickly escalating anger, frustration, or irritation. Unregulated anger can lead to verbal or physical aggression that interferes with your career, physical health, and relationships with partners, children, family, friends, or peers.

We will help you identify your personal anger cues and teach you techniques to:

  • Regulate your emotions and thoughts.

  • Reduce the physical sensations caused by anger.

  • Express frustration more effectively.

  • Learn ways to avoid making things worse.

The anger management techniques, skills, and strategies taught in this group are based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and solid evidence-based treatments for anger issues.

*If you have a history of violence with a spouse or partner, the Pauquette Center offers other, more appropriate groups that specialize in learning how to manage thoughts and emotions that lead to domestic violence. Please ask about our Anti-Violence Program.
