Though psychedelic plants and compounds have been used in a wide-spectrum of healing practices throughout human history, they have quickly been gaining recognition and acceptance in conventional western healthcare in recent years, along with a growing popularity of underground and international ceremonial plant medicine work. With the prevalence of ketamine practices and the increase in clients desiring and/or seeking out psychedelic healing experiences, it is imperative for mental health practitioners to possess a foundational knowledge of contemporary psychedelic healing, harm reduction and integration practices.

This didactic training is appropriate for clinicians of all levels who have little to no understanding of the current landscape of psychedelic-assisted therapy. As this is an emerging field of practice, many mental health practitioners did not receive training on PAT in graduate school. With the prevalence of ketamine practices and the increase in clients desiring and/or seeking out psychedelic healing experiences, it is imperative for mental health practitioners to possess a foundational knowledge of contemporary psychedelic healing, harm reduction and integration practices.
