Teen Coping Skills Group Therapy

If you are experiencing difficulty coping with emotions or trauma symptoms, maybe finding yourself crying often, experiencing moods that change often, having very intense emotions that last for long periods of time, or feeling that you are “too sensitive”, this group could be a good fit for you.

This group can help you to understand those experiences and how to handle them in healthier ways. This group is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and will provide skills to help identify emotions, thoughts, and potential problematic behaviors. Sessions will have a combination of teaching skills, processing information, and relaxation activities

This group will focus on core DBT skills. Group sessions will also provide complementary concepts and skills, including self-compassion, gratitude thinking, information about trauma, and a general understanding of nervous system dysregulation.
