Lynn Hoornstra is a master’s level psychotherapist working in the field since 1995. She uses a motivational interviewing approach with her experience specializing in co-occurring disorders, domestic violence offenders, Dialectical Behavior, trauma, couples counseling, family therapy, group treatment, and individual counseling with ages 12 and up.
She is a co-founder of the WI Association of Drug Court Professionals and has served as a consultant to Domestic Violence Treatment Courts, OWI Treatment Courts, Drug Treatment Courts, and Family Treatment Courts in Monroe, Jackson, Trempealeau, La Crosse, and Columbia Counties, WI. She has worked for circuit courts and county justice departments managing criminal cases, facilitating victim-offender medication, and organizing victim-impact panels.
Lynn has had her own state-certified mental health outpatient clinic and provides community education and public-speaking. She sees youth and adults with criminogenic needs including interpersonal violence and sexual violence. Her credentials include state licenses as a Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor. She is State-Certified as a Batterer Treatment Provider, Correctional Health Professional, and Intoxicated Driver Program-Approved Trainer.
