Specialty Services
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience treating a variety of mental health concerns in a number of settings. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and children in inpatient, outpatient, residential, correctional, and forensic settings. I enjoy working with both individuals and groups.
I primarily use evidence based practices in my work with clients, most of which are in the cognitive behavioral therapy framework. I am well trained in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and have been using this approach for treating individuals with borderline personality disorder and high-risk behaviors for almost 20 years. I am board certified by the Linehan Board of Certification. I have found working with this approach and this population incredibly rewarding and I am honored to work alongside clients striving to overcoming obstacles in order to live their best lives. I am trained in DBT adaptations for treating adolescents/families as well as children and treating posttraumatic stress and complex trauma, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. I am a DBT consultant and trainer for a number of agencies and organizations in Wisconsin and across the Nation. I am passionate about bringing quality and effective care, including DBT to correctional and forensic spaces and with justice involved individuals within the community.
I am also quite experienced with Prolonged Exposure therapy for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and am passionate about helping individuals regain fulfilling lives after experiencing significant trauma.
In addition to my direct clinical work, I serve on a number of boards and committees committed to enhancing healthcare outcomes and access across the State of Wisconsin. I serve on the Mental Health Alliance for Individuals who are Deaf/DeafBlind/Hard of Hearing, the DBT Wisconsin Collaborative (working to increase access to DBT for underinsured clients in Wisconsin), Fort Healthcare’s Board of Directors, and the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Commission.
As the Vice President of the Pauquette Center for Psychological Services, I strive to contribute to a culture of client care that is effective, compassionate, accessible, and welcoming for all.
